Founded in July 2016 in the heart of Gazi, A little Taste of Home is more than a restaurant—it’s a living story of migration, memory, and flavor.


The vision of Ahmad Alssaleh, a Bedouin from Palmyra, Syria, with a background in tourism, the restaurant was born from a deep desire to bring the warmth and generosity of home to a new land. Ahmad’s journey from Syria to Greece was marked by hardship, but also by resilience, hope, and the belief that food can create connection across cultures, that there is a always a wonderful food that will make you feel at home.


Today, A little Taste of Home invites guests on a global culinary journey—celebrating the rich flavors of the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and beyond. Each dish is prepared with care, bridging tradition and innovation, and offering a welcoming space where locals and travelers alike come together to share a meal, a story, a sense of belonging, feel at home—wherever they’re from.
